Margarita| Cocktail | Tequila Based

It’s cocktail hour at Cuisine Canvas and we couldn’t think of a better way to lighten up this quarantine with a refreshing glass of Margarita and Houseparty with your friends.

  • Preparation Time: 2-3 Minutes
  • Assembly Time: 2-3 Minutes
  • Serves: 1

  • Tequila: 2 oz or 60 ml
  • Lime juice: 1 oz or 30 ml
  • Cointreau: 1 oz or 30 ml
  • Ice cubes: 5-10
  • Salt for the glass rim
  • Lime wedge: 1

Garnish with

  • Cherry
  • Lime Slice

Ice a margarita glass by placing ice cubes in the hollow of the glass as shown in the video, while you prepare the cocktail.

In a cocktail shaker, combine together the measured quantities of tequila, lime juice and Cointreau along with ice cubes and give it a good shake.

To serve, remove the ice from the margarita glass and rim the margarita glass with a lime wedge before carefully coating it with salt. This will ensure that the glass rim is uniformly covered with salt.

Drain the contents of the cocktail shaker carefully in the rimmed and iced margarita glass.

Garnish with cherry and a slice of lime.

Cool and refreshing, tangy and sweet.
